At the Office

So here's what happens...I'm at my desk..on the phone...taking notes when the other party is speaking...then I speak and when I speak, my pen moves on it's own and these drawings appear. I've tried to make these drawings while not on the phone and I haven't been able to re-create them. There are literally thousands of these in my business planners. I sit in business meetings and my mind drifts..then these shapes appear on the paper...Some inner part of me is calling...(on the phone?)

Painted this at the request of a good friend who turned me on the the magic and the coolness that is Sonny Rollins...I still regret the fact that I charged him for the painting...

I used to draw people on the train platform..I stopped doing that because it made me uncomfortable when the subjects caught me doing it...

Some of these people come from dreams..I wake up and draw them quickly as soon as I get to the train.

This one was made on a bus in Mexico....

This is a drawing I made while sitting in a meeting to discuss a multi-million dollar construction project. I think better when I'm drawing. The colors come later. I don't think it would be appropriate to pull out colored pencils at a business meetiong.
